Hieronymus
It's a funeral writing, i didn't uderstand but i saw some words, others of this forum will help you. Here is what I understood : IN NOMINE CRISTINA = In the name [of] Cristina, EMORI APOSITA AB = [dead ?] (this writing) append from/by UXORE ET A FI[L]I = wife and by [son] SIV[L]IMA VIXIT ANNIS XIIII = ?? lived 14 years. In [] what i am not sure and didn't understand. And () what is implicit. There is a character that i don't understand in the third and fourth lines ; it seems to be a K but K is not a common letter in Latin, it is used only for foreign names. So, i thought to a L but too odd (or at least a greek L, lambda : λ) but it doesn't make sense. Finally, it seems just erased by the time... Now you know at least that it's a commemorative writing to a poor teen... I hope it helped !
